Do you know if you have bad breath? Does a friend of yours have bad breath and you wish you could tell him/her about it?? Unfortunately, at one point or another, all of us have experienced bad breath. Bad breath can be embarrassing, but what you really should pay attention to or worry about is chronic bad breath, which is also called Halitosis.
If you are experiencing Halitosis, you probably haven’t been properly cleaning and taking care of your mouth, teeth and gums. You should make sure that you are brushing, flossing and some you may not know this, but also brushing your tongue daily.
Brushing - I think every one knows that you should at least brush your teeth 2-3 times a day. Make sure you’re brushing for several minutes each time, using proper brush strokes and reaching as far back in your mouth as possible.
Flossing - Flossing is just as important as brushing. Be sure to floss thoroughly between all your teeth. A little trick you can use to see if you have bad breath is to smell the floss afterwards- if it does smell than you do have bad breath or Halitosis.
Cleaning your Tongue - In addition to brushing your teeth and flossing, you should be cleaning your tongue every time you brush your teeth. You can simply use your toothbrush to do this, and reach as far back as you can without gagging yourself. Or you can buy a tongue scraper, both ways work just fine.
Unfortunately, sometimes there can be something worse then just bad breath as the underlying problem. There is a possibility that you have periodontal disease. Periodontal disease can also be referred to as gum disease, which means that your gums and the tissue surrounding your teeth are actually rotting away. If gum disease goes untreated and gets bad enough, the bone can start to deteriorate to the point of no longer being able to hold your teeth in place. It is up to you to make the right choices to make sure your mouth stays healthy! Of course brushing and flossing regularly, like I talked about above. I think one of the most important things, is not smoking. Try to stay away from too many sweets and sugary drinks, like sodas. After drinking coffee, tea, wine or anything that can stain your teeth, you should brush and if you can’t, at least swish some water around in your mouth to rinse.
Like many of you I have from time to time had the common problem of embarrassing bad breath!
After trying many of the brand names in mouth hygiene I came upon a great new product called Smart Mouth. I have tested three of their products for the last two months straight and I have decided to recommend it to you personally with complete confidence that you will enjoy this product as well! The most appealing thing about Smart Mouth is that it is created to be 100% alcohol free and has a very slight natural mint flavor that is not over powering. The products being Alcohol free were very important to me because they did not have that stinging, burning sensation to your inner mouth or gums. The active ingredient used in their patented revolutionary technology is Zinc-Ion. Smart Mouth was created at New York University, Stony Brook.
I have used the toothpaste several times daily along with the two step mouthwash process both morning and evening before bed time. The breath mints are a great way to refresh your mouth through out your day.
Bad Breath is nothing to take lightly! It is a massive silent social problem that effects peoples lives often ruining Jobs, relationships and even your self respect. So please do something about it today!
